I hear her as I breathe the evening calm,
And wonder as the million stars ascend;
As amber fades through dusk, what lingers on
When daylight wanes and darkness calls again?
Her eyes that morning, held a smile so bright,
As love exalted life showed her caress;
Her silken locks - cascading folds of light;
Forever yearning, Forever finding less.
For then the whole world faltered, all sight closed;
A twilight intermingled with the day,
As quakes of desolate silence interposed
To yield all happiness, then fade away.
  But sounds of that sweet sentence still implore:
  Just uttered once, what love hears evermore...

I love the sonnet, it is not an easy form David, but you make it seem so. From the first line it was enchanting. 10 from romantic to the core! Tai
