For My Pretentious Suitors

Walk in the dusk
Cold wintery musk
Frozen to the core
But so much to explore

Barren woods
Brown shivering lands
Full moon nights
Alone I withstand

Sprinkling praises
Showering love
Came like a shooting star
Upturned my quiet world

The Polish is golden
Copper, silver or tanned
Each one of you
Hide the same selfish brand

From this hillock
That overlooks
Deserted lands
I await the survival
Of my own being
My original self.
