Foreign Flower's Lullaby

There's a flower from the East,
It blooms amidst the plains,
Within a quiet mountain town,
It shines it's graces upon my eyes.

Sweetly fragrant Northern Rose,
Travelling on the desert winds,
Alight upon my flowery bed,
And rest here for a season.

Walk awhile in the canyons,
Travel down the coast,
Drink from gushing river beds,
And sleep beneath the fields of stars.

I hold this flower in my hands,
Lift it's petals to the hungry sky,
But with the dawning of the day,
The rose takes wing to fly away.
