Forever In Summer

Poem By Samantha Stough

Something tells me
The summer has just begun
So why is it that I feel
Like it has already gone?

When I feel the sunshine,
I wonder how long it will last
There's not the same freedom
As summers' past

Wandering down the street,
Feeling warmer than I have in forever
The heat is melting my heart,
And for a little while, the ties to troubles are severed

Times that I always wished
Would never reach an end
I want to spend forever in summer
But, I'll just have to pretend

Ashes or butterflies?
Who knows? I’m not sure.
I cant tell the difference anymore.

Warped Reality

Somewhere across a misty, black sea,
Revolution is breaking at dawn
But in this safe little cage of mine,
Time just seems to slowly roll on

And So The Robin Keeps Its Distance

Gossamer threads may break to the touch,
But they seem to linger on your skin
Somehow the blood of the past winter
Seeps through the walls as they cave in

Motivation Please?

I will search every inch of the world
Until I find my motivation
Using this disaster
As the pinnacle of my creation

Killing Me Slowly

Breathing ancient words
I remember they're yours
Pleasant and fake
I will never want to think think again
