Forgotten Memories Forgiven

That one memory of February
of the music that played,
but the sound of the piano
that was never there.

Across the room,
closer to the ones
that you love,
shower you with shelter,
but never sorrow.

The cloud that once covered
the coffin
in the city
that was the only
bounded border,
can only forgive
thy open heart.

The loss of a friend
can only break the bond
of the hand
that once held
the smoke from his ciggarette.

Say grace,
once again.
