I found a tear
But I won't give it back
It must be yours
And I pretend
That it was meant
For me

I found a smile
You left it on the threshold to your mother's door
I'll keep it and feed it
Until it's bigger than before

I found a child
It was buried under laughter
It hid from pointing fingers
In an “I'm dumb”-hole

But I found a candle
Shivering in the blows of the past

I found the way to the hole

I found the child

I found you

I wish I could put a hand on that little girl's shoulder
I wish I had told her

You'll be fine

You're doing fine
