Frosty Horses

Poem By Marilyn Lott

Frost is on their noses
Eyes glassy while they gaze
Just standing in the cold
They don’t even want to graze

These poor old horses
Out in the winter’s chill
Standing with the snowmen
I’m sure it’s not a thrill

They’re ready for their barn
I’d better take them in
Leaving them out in the cold
Seems like a cruel sin

Before too long I hope they know
The weather will be warm
But for now this freezing air
Is quickly losing charm!
