Full Of Melodies
Poem By gershon hepner
Since you are so full of melodies,
when I am not harmonizing them
it’s as though I’ve lost the thoughts that tease
dreamers when they’ve been aroused from REM.
I carry you a tune within my head
which, long before it is completed, ends;
till you resolve, returning to my bed,
I’ll be diminished as a second that descends.
Brahms wrote his G Major Sonata for violin and piano in place that he described as being so full of melodies it felt as though he was treading on them.
