Gaza Dying Quickly

Poem By Bob Green

Gaza dying quickly
parched and starving
sea close by
tongue caked with salt
mouth open
cloudy eyes

Send something to Gaza
else we let it fall
to bullets daily
killing children
a patient world
demands more proof

Than naked bodies
shot on sight
prisoners tortured
stripped and flayed
set on by hounds

Of profit’s war
of oil’s dark flood
and Israel’s debt
now paid by blood

a world in silence
not every nation
yet more than most
content to see
another
mass extermination.
