If silence is, indeed, golden.
Then I’m rich beyond my wildest dreams.
For that’s all that exists between us.
Fountains of emptiness flowing to streams.

A broken silence is never good.
You form fists with your thoughts,
because violence is all
you’ve ever understood.

My mind can’t take this, much less my heart.
This nothingness we share
is all we share,
next to our desire to part.
