Poem Hunter
God Loves A Rose
TH (01-15-1976 / Louisiana)

God Loves A Rose

I cry with the trees
their breeze adopted me
sadly we both have leaves
in a garden flow
my fellow dreams
unfolded rose
grows out of me
though the fear of rejection
I embrace with thorns
my hugs hurt and are clumsy
God loves a rose
garden me I run from
the distant thunder
fearfully intent
on embracing the Father
with my drizzled stem
