God's Tears

It drizzled outside;
Above in ethereal blue
Floating soft and fleecy clouds
Muting Sun’s warmth and glow
And the day nearing its close
Saw the evening
Descending silently
And through deep shades
Walking gracefully
Bringing music along
To charm blossoms to sleep long
A sudden outburst of emotions
Soft yet disturbing
Rending the air sharply
Of a baby’s cry sad and weary
Heard in a home close by
A premature baby
Frail, feeble and the most forlorn
Born to parents poor and unknown
But their love larger
Than all the wealth and possession
The mother bending over
The winsome face
Smitten with pain speechless
And the father weeping perennial tears
For the infant couched on a bed of ice box
Denied admission by callous doctors
Cause- he could not afford the price asked for
On seeing this, even trembled the Heaven
And tears rolled down
Oh! Doctors remember
How helpless as a baby once you were
And the God held you to His breast
You looked to Him and smiled
And He loved you to His best
A blossom from God’s garden
Brought to you asking for none
But love and care
That you denied for ever
And could not you see
In little blue eyes
Many little wishes twinkling
Like the great morning……………

And the father weeping perennial tears For the infant couched on a bed of ice box Denied admission by callous doctors.... //.... The poem creates a poignant atmosphere but has a tinge of optimism, too. Thanks for sharing.
Highly emotional and heart touching poem. Man in realising his greed, forgets to realize what he had realized when he was dependent. Loved reading the poem.
The poem is deeply heart touching with its beauty of rhyme and theme.
