Gone With The Wind
Thick wick, once bright, as night advances,
by Jonathan ROBIN
must lose life's fight as circumstances
combine to trick the tick of fate
as rates of change accelerate.
No time remains for backward glances,
complaints, regrets for wasted chances,
no scope to circumnavigate
goal sinking shoals as love and hate
capsize together as askance is
cast what once insatiate
appeared - now all beneath the weight
of Time's vows bows, its poisoned lances...
Reflections on reflections cast
Upon time's mirror overcast.
