A gentle little Irish soul who was sweet as sweet can be,
by Paul Cornell
So harmless and delicate her love and care was clear for all to see
As soft and caring as they come who used to love to make us teas,
Always heard her coming with a beep or laughing with a wheeze.
I only knew her as my grandma and we remember those great days,
When she used to play with us and tell us of her history and the olden ways,
Her Smile would lighten up your mind and make life seem okay
and you couldn’t help but mirror it back and I wish we all could stay
I know that I am so sad that her face again ill never see,
But happy that where she’s gone she can lay so peacefully,
And one thing is for certain if all else is full of uncertainty
That she’ll lay there with that lovely smile for eternity.
