Halloween

Put out the fires, coldness begins
Enter the darkness of our mortal sin
Out of the night the spirits they come
In search of flesh
They search for the one
Listen for breath
In cold autumn air
Zombies we call them
Disembodied they share
A moment with mortals
Their souls with the night
In hazed moon shadows
To the lantern set light
Like a rotting corpse
It hangs from the tree..

Then Pray that all hallows will leave your soul free
