Hate You, Love You

Poem By Amber Millar

I love you but that doesn't mean I can't hate you too,
You turn my world upside down and you wreck my life,
But I can't help but love your smile,
And your voice, your laugh,
You smile that cunning smile and I know you'll do it again,
But when you do, I just let it slide,
Can't you just learn that one day I'll snap and I won't let you walk all over me,
Every time you give me the puppy dog eyes,
The guard comes down,
I say that it's your last chance,
For the millionth time,
I let you in and tell you what I'm thinking,
Then you just go and hurt me again,
I know you'll do it again,
But I trust you not to,
You've betrayed that trust too many times,
This really is the last chance...

Until you give me the look,
With the tear-filled blue eyes,
And I give in to you,
It'll be OK this time, I tell myself,
Who am I kidding? ,
But the people who know just stand and watch,
As I fall apart,
And scramble in the dust for the broken pieces of my heart,
Why do you do this every time?

For my friend Rose Russell, who has had too many chances and this really is the very last one.

Comments about Hate You, Love You

Is this really what rose is like? I never thaught she was that bad x
love is splendid and yet complex.
Its so true that many a times your friends take you for granted and you feel they dont care anymore My friends do the same and dont care about me but the fact is that sometimes you try too hard to make them feel cared and loved that eventually the charm is lost and what you get is just pain in return. I loved this poem a10 from me! ! !
