A haunting presence enters in the eve
by Jo Lynn Ehnes
and hides amongst the shadows of the night.
Concealed within the darkness he'll conceive
a wicked plan that wields his evil plight.
He watches her with devilish intent;
her grace and beauty fit his vicious scheme.
Into his path this creature has been sent,
to help him live his dark obsessive dream.
A vision where his Love is drenched in red,
while in his hand a butcher's carving knife.
By jealousy this fantasy is fed;
forever she'll be his in afterlife.
Disguised in black he waits against the wall,
as scents of perfume drift amidst the air.
He reaches for his phone and makes the call;
she answers with her sweet seductive flair.
He calmly tells her, 'Darling, go ahead.
I'll meet you at the predetermined place.'
Into the trap his victim now is led;
excitement grows on his demonic face.
His heart is beating fast as she appears
and steps across the threshold of his lair.
By strength she's yanked into his game of fears
where gagged and bound she meets this killer's stare.
Impossible! She knows this monster's eyes.
They've gleamed at her while lost in rapture's fire.
He sees her recognition and surprise,
then violently dismisses her attire.
With force he strips the love she freely gave
and violates the entry to her soul,
then from a thrusting blade she meets her grave
as Satan's hand engaged its bold control.
The headlines read, 'Dismembered Body Found',
with information call your local law.
The evidence he'd scattered all around;
his darkest dream fulfilled without a flaw.
