Healed With A Kiss

Poem By Debora Soramaki

We both grew up in the very same town
Though living so close, we were strangers,
Knowing the same people,
Attended the same school,
We lived through the same sort of dangers. (drugs & alcohol)
I knew of your family but didn't know you
And in time we both went on our way,
You raised a child and I had a few,
We grew old with each passing day.
Now we're both living back in our little home town,
You're now my very good friend.
We've come to know each other quite well,
I'm hoping our friendship won't end.
On a cold snowy day you asked for a kiss,
My bleeding heart started to mend.
Your family knew of mine but didn't know me,
Now every thing's starting brand new
The things in life you don't expect
Will certainly come true.
