Heart Left At Home

Poem By Clarieie Gordon

When I set out for this journey,
I planned for so much more,
The midnight skies; the terrifies,
But it's not fun, it's a war.

I expected real fear with a laugh or two,
Standing up for Germany, our child and you,
But the fear has been lost,
With the freezing night-time frost,
And my mind has been taken too.

I hear crying through the night,
As we wait to fight,
Death is everywhere,
Were in despair,
As the next life is taken at the speed of light.

I dream every day of your face when we'll meet,
But right now I'm in a one way street,
I'll fight for you,
Our child too,
Until my journey is complete.

Missed you terribly,
Right from the start,
The love of my life,
And queen of my heart.
