Pain and sufferings, that’s all.
by Kartike Chadha
But we still fall in love.
Dark and Damp, the path, it is
The one that trails life to the fall.
Many mortals crave love,
Without knowing the pain it causes.
Let me tell you, it’s striking only from ‘bove
Rather a life of thorns, than a bed of roses.
Once you fall to it, first it lets you wade in it,
But just when it thinks you’re deep enough,
It traps you in that dark, dark pit.
And leaves you there, in that trough.
No matter how much pain you’ve been through,
You cannot possibly imagine that ache.
Unless obviously if you’ve faced it too,
Oh! That nightmare, the one people call Heartbreak.
