Here He Lay

Here he lay, the golden man.
What has he for his deeds?
Love, what he always had.
Here he lay surrounded by kin,
Surrounded by friends, old and new.
Here he lay in his weakest point.
Dear friend, there will be rest.
Look to the stars one last night,
And let our voices lead you to the gates.
