Hero

Poem By Shivangi Chaturvedi

There were moments,
I was afraid.
For you.. afraid for you.
With your big big heart,
and big big tears.

I always knew,
You would rule the world.
Even when you didn't know it,
I did. I knew.

I still remember,
Climbing the roof,
Finding the skelleton.
You were so sad,
And so amazed,
At the fragility, I suppose.

I remember,
When you sang,
And your eyes lit up.
Or when you knew,
you were wrong,
But refused to give up.
And that smile
crooked at one end,
'What? ? '

I remember,
How proud I was,
When you told me,
You had been chosen,
For a play,
Or for your poetry.

And when you yelled,
Standing tall, still do,
And you stamp your foot,
And point at the floor,
And you tremble,
From inside out.
I am afraid for you.

I am afraid,
And jealous.
Of your passion,
And ability.
Let it not seize you,
But guide you.
For you are a legend,
in the making.
And I am proud,
Still.

I was born the day the sun did not shine,
Darkness foreshadowed illness,
Blood made it true.

Inamorato

I thank thee, my inamorato.
For forgiving me the sins I choose to commit,
For loving me with infinite grace,
For rousing within me intense emotion.

Promise

White frailty,
I stand alone,
but stand tall.
For I knew, the best of you.

Bruised Woman

For a dream is a dream,
and I have dreamt it.

You cannot, will not,

Any Time Now Would Be Good

And so I waited,
for the moments, you see,
for the moments that were to exalt me.
