Hiding The Truth

I sit here thinking,
What a mess I’ve become,
Haunting memories,
Of the bad things I’ve done,
Punishing myself,
When things go wrong,
I’m fed up of feeling;
That I don’t belong.

Whatever I do,
It never seems to go right,
So I stay up worrying,
Late every night,
I bottle up my problems,
Hope they might go away,
But sadly they return,
Every single day.

But I put on a fake smile,
Pretend everything’s fine,
I’m not going to get anywhere,
If I whinge and whine,
So when people ask,
‘Are you sure you’re ok? ’
I take a deep breath,
‘I’m happy’, I say.

OK there, some deep thoughts. Read mine 'Saturday Morning Mood'. Adeline
Well, I guess I am a bit 'hiding the truth' sometimes too. It's like you have made into words the things that is often left unsaid and hidden..well done.
A good write Gemma. Can i advise splitting this up into stanza's think it would make it easier to read. And lets the reader focus on each section at a time. Well done x-x-x
