'Stolen' refers also to the Stolen Generation. The foreigners in the 'wisdom' thought the children of Aboriginals and European settlers, would be better off taken from their mothers/parents and raised in European families... hence the stolen generation.
In Australia, the High Court met to discuss compensation for the Aboriginals whose land was taken over by foreign settlers.
