His Memory Lingers

His eyes were bright and would turn from blue to green
His hair was once wavy and golden as the sun,
His shoulders were strong and broad and held me tight.

His smile was warm and cheery and we would laugh together,
His face would light up my heart and make me feel good,
His hands would hold my trembling fingers and keep them safe,
I will always remember his strength and his memory lingers.

His voice was sweet when we made love,
His arms would hold me from harm,
His touch was always soft and caring,
I will cherish all these thoughts and the moments of sharing.
For he has died and left me here alone, but I will always
Think of him, until the time when he comes to take me home.
