Hold On

Poem By Karen Lea

INSECURITY
Old fears still linger
Hanging on like an
Unwanted guest

DENIAL
Working on the issues
Perhaps avoiding
Ones that do the most harm

HELP
Many want to aid
In this journey
That I must travel alone

HEAL
It may not seem so
But I make strides
Everyday

REALIZATION
Even though I move ahead
I finally acknowledge
Insecurity and denial

HOPE
Here’s to hope
Because if there is no hope
Future is darkness

BABY STEPS
One step at a time

Riders

Riders, so proud and strong,
fearless
never wavering.
Riders, into battles long,

Nature's Lament

Following the darkest grain of the wood
Twisting and turning as she should
Never quite knowing where she stood

Shades Of Grey

Black, then white....
and all the shades of grey in between,
Love, then loss....
may be the most difficult ever seen.

The Other Love

she hurt herself today
more than a physical way
the thing she would not do
is that what drew him to

Dreaming...Needing

Dreaming
Screaming
Watching
Waiting

The Beautiful Girls

Bright and talented
Eagerness to learn, abound
Then I see the bandages
From an agony most profound
