How I Felt

Poem By Tessa Eichhorst

Remarkable times together,
wonderful conversations spoken,
and your face lingering in my
mind are what make those memories devine.

Knowing that you're somewhere
near makes them come back
sweeter than before, and make
me wish to see your face once
more.

All I have to do is close my
eyes to see the precious memories
that we have. The memories
are great, the looks you gave
me divine, but no longer have
I seen you to continue this
island of happiness.

I search for your face, I
look deep down to find your heart,
but no more are you near for
our memories to continue from
where they started. The memories
of us in my heart will always
be, even if we no longer love
each other eternally.

Walk Away

Too many times has something held me back from achieving something great. I almost stopped my life waiting for your next move; a move I'd still be standing in line for.

I try to tell myself my life is greater than you, greater than this facade we both went through. I've now released the pressure of you and walked away.
