How I Say I Love You

Poem By Not Long Left

I display my fondness for you on icy car windows
And like our fragile partnership my words melt
When the heat is on. I make plans for us on
bus tickets in between the bold print I pen my
dreams. Never do I keep them, I give my ideas
to lovers huddled on the back seat.
I cement my faith in you with the only way I know
Upon your sweet warm lap I place a pad full of
poems, and hope you will not understand a word.

holding distant secrets like a tale yet to be told,
