How To Write A Poem?

Must I know what I write down
Meaningless or meaning found
Making poem, don’t know how
Must I know what I write down

Does a poem need to breathe
To plan a knit into a weave
Or can it start not to conceive
A poemed haze is free to breathe

Writing breath from writing down
The poem tilts as I think now
Bias nature changing how
The poem writes, still writing down

No thought, no poem, here with me
Should I stop or let it be
Bleeding brain, becoming free
Rereading, learning, me for me

A poem is a naturally blooming flower. It is a God given gift to a natural poet! Poetry flows from the natural poet automatically whenever the urge comes within!
Nice poem on writing poems, One should never stop learning..........
I've been grappling with the same puzzle for some time..many a musings I discarded thinking it was not good enough to be shared, not deep enough to be meaningful.. Thanks to the forum PH provides at least Ive started a few shares thanks to like minded people showering encouragement from across the world...couple of days ago I dished out a How to Dish a Morning Poem on the same lines..thanks for sharing.
WELL, YOUVE HIT THIS ONE SPOT ON, PAUL..POETRY IS ALL RELATIVE, AS MUCH SO AS FLAVOUR.YOUR OPEN INTROSPECT SUPPORTS THIS CONCEPT..(.ITS THE OLE''BEAUTY IN THE EYES OF...) SCENARIO.THROUGH YOUR SOLID COMMAND OF CONNECTING THOUGHT PATTERNS& STELLAR IMAGERY, POETRY IS A NATURAL NICHE FOR YOU, SO AS LONG AS YPU ARE OPEN TO LEARN, LEARN & WHEN ALL THAT IS DONE...LEARN SOME MORE...THATS HOW I DO IT, FOR WHAT ITS WORTH....MANY OF THE MOST ACCOMPLISHED WRITERS IN LITERARY HISTORY, LEFT THIS WORLD WITH SO MUCH MORE TO TAP...PEOPLE DEBATE THE DEFINITION OF THE PERFECT POEM....IN TRUTH, I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE... THERE MAY HAVE NEVER BEEN ONE...THERE MAY NEVER BE ONE...SO THAT TELLS ME THAT THERES A CHALLENGE IN WAITING FOR EVERY SINGLE WRITER WHO FEEDS OFF CHALLENGE...IS IT ME? IS IT YOU?
