How You Play The Game

Its hard to figure
what makes some tick
or why some self limit
with the forming of a clique

Oh the hurtful words
only sting for a while
but do not let it stop you
from walking in your style

One knows when they have worn
their welcome totally out
and maybe its time
to take a walk about

The thought of finding a new home
to place the words of ones heart
Is really hard to imagine
but maybe its time for a new start

But the reality of it all
is so clear and plane to know
when the troubled time had come
and there were no prayers to show

So as you can see
it is not hard to read the score
Maybe it's time to grab a hat and coat
and head for the door.

Life should not be a cut throat competition
It is a beautiful dance on a big floor
and no one should feel forced out
or be left to dance alone....

I would like to leave something
with each of you that I learned in Girl Scouts

When the great recorder comes
to write about your name
He writes not that you won or lost
but how you played the game...
