Humble

I don't always possess a lot of green called money,
But when I do, it's hard to save.
I started donating to different charities,
Instead of digging my own financial grave.
I use to be all about the big brand names.
Until I got sick and tired of the appearance game.
I only dress to my own comfort and satisfaction.
Instead of following the stereotypes in this nation.

Be humble. Stay humble.
The truth will set you free.
Even if you're slipping, don't fumble.
Grasp on like a leech.
Be humble. Stay humble.

I've been down that poor road before.
I know how much work and sacrifices need to be done
In order to take progressive action.
Thanks to my family's tough love,
Throughout the mistakes that became knowledge learned.
I guess reminiscing on those younger years struggles,
Has allowed me to find the strength to not repeat and get burned.
And let go of my past troubles.

Be humble. Stay humble.
The truth will set you free.
Even if you're slipping, don't fumble.
Grasp on like a leech.
Be humble. Stay humble.

I don't judge friends based on their career paths
As long as they respect me, I'll respect them.
It's easy on the level of problem-solving math.
Every flower blooms from one specific stem.
I allow anyone to become a sister or a brother.
I don't judge on anyone's sexuality, on anyone's culture,
On anyone's background, or on anyone's skin color.
It's easy to hate, but I'll destroy the demon as a peace ambassador.
