I Broke The Water

i broke the water to our new birth born

all stem and petal without a thorn

you girded our love within your womb

carried swiflty from life to the tomb

we cherished the beat of our new gift

spent heavily we did not knowing to thrift

treasures a plenty blossomed from our loin

left shortly thereafter with not a coin

lavishly we spent to our love we did feed

our gifts were soon gone without thought of the deed

breathed deeply the flower which with we hath sown

damaged before birth by actions our own

heavily the scent still lingers in nose

all for want of forgeting upsetting past woes

the thorn now arise to prick our hand

death music is played by morbid a band

looking back years from this mistaken date

a love was wanted for our lives to gestate

instead of birthing a happy child

a mockery was lifted weak and mild

the pistol and stem have died again

grim reaper stole away happy our grin

to all other loves with seed to grow

breathe soflty and sweetly as you may know

when on love you spend your money to farm

make sure you grow patiently and do no harm

for if you so quickly in a hurry to reap

your plants may grow to be timid and meek
