I Can Fly
I can fly.
by James Grengs
It's a secret I didn't wish to reveal,
But, as you might imagine, it is
A secret that is very hard to keep.
I find myself, when in the open air,
Leaping off things to prove my power.
There are many people who doubt my skills.
There are now few people who do not know:
I jumped off a bridge last Tuesday night.
I was flying.
Policemen, firemen, and paramedics
All came, amazed that I could fly.
I still can fly- please believe me.
I would show you, now,
But in this room there is no furniture;
Only the hole in the corner,
And the nice soft walls.
