I Can Only

Poem By Paula Zahnke

I can only speak one word.
I can write many phrases.
I cannot tell you my name.
I cannot tell you where I stand.
I cannot tell why I am here.
I can only tell you I lived.
I can only tell you I fogive.
I can only tell you I can use a walker.
I cannot tell you I do not fall.
I can tell you I feel pain.
I can tell you I was alone.
I cannot tell you I need to hold you.
Because you are so far away.
I cannot tell you why I miss you.
Because you are to far.
I can only tell you one thing.
loving you from a far is the best thing I can give you.
