I Can See God

Poem By Bera Tremoz

I can see him, her,
whatever the latest trend is,
he's everywhere,

doing mystical circus tricks to
underage prostitutes in Taiwan,

snorting coke with the kids on the edge of life
in some hood across my town,

fucking some nice virgin's insides
amongst fields of tulips,

even making breakfast for one of his
HIV baring starved children
getting ready to go to school
so they can learn English
and hope that one day they'll
work in the stock exchange
and send money back to momma and papa
so they can retire in peace
before the blue berets find them.

I see God,
one helluva bed bug,
alive and well
under your comfortable pillow.
