I Don'T Celebrate Christmas

Many people think it strange,
Strange, as strange can be,
When often I do say to them,
There is no Christmas for me.

For Christmas is a Festival,
Not celebrated by Practising Jews,
For we have more others yet,
To celebrate than the Christian few.

If we start from the Hebrew New Year,
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Succot,
Followed then by Chanukah,
Purim, Pesach and Shavuot.

We then have several Fast Days,
And each week ~ the Sabbath Day,
On which we must not work,
Nor write or money we must not pay.

We must eat only Kosher food,
And the Laws of G-D we must heed,
All of which HE has given us,
To be faithful to our Creed.
