I Don’t Want To Be Here

Poem By David Harris

Why is it when we go to a hospital
as a patient or a visitor
we always feel worse than we really are?
Hospitals and Dentists
have the same aversion to me,
whenever I get there,
I want to turn right around
and start heading home.
Most of it is in the mind,
but my mind will not listen
though I tell it all the time
there is nothing wrong.
I’m left with that sinking feeling
that I don’t want to be here.

Oh no David, I hope you haven't had a relapse and wound up back in the hospital but rather this is a write of the last incident...Be well, marci.m.: < :)
I have those same feelings everyday.I Don't Want To Be Here! And especially when I go to the hospital and doctors. Even if they pretty much know me by name now. Your not alone on that feeling.
