I Forgive You

You see me as
A drunkard.
A looser.
A sorry excuse.
Abomination
Is what you call
Me as I walk by
You everyday.
You curse my
Very name
Both to my face
And behind my
Back. I have heard you
With my own ears curse
The day of my conception.
Yet, you have never known
My past. You have never
Heard my cries. Never seen
What my own eyes have
Witnessed. You judge
Me by what I wear.
How I act.
Who I surround
Myself with.
Where I’m from.
Your reasoning is
Ludicrous and
Disregardable.
Yet, I feel as if
It is my Christian
Duty to forgive you,
But never forget. I
Know how it feels
To be alone.
