I Forgot

I forgot myself,
For a moment-
To save a bit of money-
I held my hand back, unwillingly,
To keep from committing
A crime, thieving,
White collar style.

Nobody got hurt.
Ours are money style.
Let me keep mine-
While I steal a bit
Of your future
Potential.

Nobody got hurt,
Seems to solve the world
Expectations
Of Martha Steward
And Nixon as well.
In hindsight, only,
Does the thief recall
The sense of hastiness
And getting ready to fall.
