I Left Robbie

Poem By cris son.

The days get longer, the nights seem to never end
As I lay here in bed trying to hold back tears, I dare not shed
missing you with everything I have
Wondering how you are doing, how you are taking the news
You mistreated me, so now we are through
I walked away, so why does my heart still ach?

Comments about I Left Robbie

Enjoyed reading this poem. Rhymed nicely from beginning to end. (Just a note, poetry transcends age. I hope you will still be writing at 54!)
