I Lost You...

so I looked for you.
I found bits and pieces
here and there,
but I never found you.
I poked and prodded at my memories
but you were so fragmented
the pieces made no whole.
I had you within my grasp
but my fingertips
barely even grazed your skin.

This is such a great poem as it goes to show how so little words can express so much and that also so exactly.
