I don't want to be like everyone else;
by Teri-Louise Caterer
Don't want to be a sheep.
I go out of my way to be different.
But try not to cut myself off from everybody.
I'll change for no one;
Take me as I am.
Those that matter don't have a problem with it,
They like me for who I am;
For my individuality.
I like each one of them for the same reason;
For their individual characters.
I'm often criticized for being me;
I'm "strange", "different."
They say it as though in a derogatory way,
But I'd rather be alone sometimes,
Than be a sheep all of the time.
