I Salute Humanity

Far from the noise of the world,
Once I sat under a lone tree
Too sad, sobbing me, the tree heard
And shared in my grief.

Then I came to a cattle-shed
And sat there for a while,
They heard my sob and wail
And shared in my grief.

So, I walked through a parish
And sat in an inn, too gloomy
Though, all the country heard me;
But, none shared in my misery.

Then, I saluted the great humanity
And turned to a humble wood;
And never glanced back to an egoist city
For, I was too disheartened of it.

Really the poet has depicted the true picture of today's' society. Well done!
A sublime start with a nice poem, Hussain A. Q. You may like to read my poem, Love And Lust. Thank you.
It is a good poem that portrays the humanity and our conditions.
You must not paint the whole of humanity like that Hussain, but I understand why nature seems a better sympathiser. There is goodness out there. We just have to look in the right places. Good poem. 9 from Tai
