I Saw Mary Yersterday

Poem By Charles Chaim Wax

Mary loves me
I can tell
in her own way
in the way a seventy-four year old
woman
loves
a fifty year old man—
her love
unusual, uncommon, exceptional
off-center, remarkable, exotic
screwy
yet all these words
somehow
don’t completely re-create
the spark
in her eyes.

The various enlightening forms of love.
Wonderfully woven, Charles, and a joy to read. Hugs to you, CJ
