I Thought It Was Spring!

We have waited all the long winter
Suffering through the cold
By the time late winter’s here
Shivering really is growing old

For a day or two the sun shines
And gets our hopes right up
We search for the wild dandelion
And the yellow butter cup

Then It suddenly changes once more
We know what nature should bring
But white flakes are falling from the sky
Good heavens, I thought it was spring!

weather tricking plants sometimes I think somebody is changing weather so only their genetically altered plants or seeds will grow... heheheh
I know just what you mean Marilyn, and you have captured it so well in this write. The seasons are all higgledy-piggledy these days. Mind you I have known snow in June before now. Enjoyed the read very much, thanks. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
