I'Ve Never Referred To Myself As A Poet

I've never referred to myself as a poet
Or as one who should be seen as worthy of note
I first started penning near old Millstreet Town
The stuff comes to my mind and I just pen it down
In my pocket notebook then I put it Online
I look at life in my way and my ideas are mine
And though perhaps I may die with little to my name
Praise and criticism I treat as the same
And though your words may seem quite lacking in ruth
As long as in speaking of me that you stick to the truth
I will not feel offended for the truth can't offend
The one who speaks the truth of you is surely your friend
And though I am a poetaster of that fact I won't lie
I will be penning stuff till the day that I die.
