Poem Hunter
I Wait.
AML ( / )

I Wait.

i wait for you.
my lips thinking of your long freckled back
to travel up and down.
my neck is lonely for your mouth
as is my stomach for your wandering fingers.
i've waited too long
your eyes are on some distant shore
in another city, worrying you've gone too far already.
your body pulls me in with ropes
against a cold steel wall.
you can't stay.
i can't sleep for thinking
of the scared blue of your eyes
never running fast enough away from my horizon.

how can you not come?
how can you give me your promises,
again and again,
driving shiploads of ice over mountains.

you must not love me.

i'm sorry, i guess i'll go.
