I Wait

Poem By Stacey L Brown

As I wait
There is a fierce storm
Raging within the depths of me
Emotions containing thunder,
Lightning, and rain
It is my heart contracting with pain,
My soul aching with longing
And my tears' endless flowing
For, I wait for the man whose
Heart lies within mine and
Whose eyes show the sweet promise
Of generations yet unborn.
And I wait...
I wait for a man who is worth my tears
A man to see the sacred Rowan bloom.
He is worth dying for,
And I am still waiting.

One night
Beyond the stroke of midnight
A star descended down from the heavens
It took the form of a man

To my guardian
The one whose unseen embrace
Has kept me from all that is harm.

Moonstone

I have cried an endless river
My eyes have ached with unshed tears
I have known nights of peaceful dreams
I have been plagued by horrid nightmares
