I Wait
ME (1980 / Philippines)

I Wait

Like an obedient child,
I wait. I wait.
Tomorrow, will you?
At a friend's party.

I despise dreaming
because they're lies;
sweet hearts' tales
gone by breakfast.

Perhaps i should be
satisfied with gazes;
for your lips are frozen,
stitched and dead.

Beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing.
nice the last stanza- Perhaps i should be satisfied with gazes; for your lips are frozen, stitched and dead. ...... no soreness; no boring vest one drop of smiling or concerning tears on the dried way of coming in this night morning.......... till then waiting; till then waiting cause love is crawling! ! ! ! ! !
I really love this poem. it has a subtle simplicity to it - clear and vivid. nice one.
