I Was Travelling

Poem By ANJANDEV ROY

That time
The weather was fine,
I was travelling very fast
To reach my destination,
Suddenly the sky became cloudy,
After a while,
Heavy rain began,
I was compelled to stop,
I took shelter in a nearby cottage,
The noble owner of it greeted me warmly,
The rain became heavier and heavier,
The owner asked me many significant questions,
I answered those wisely,
After a long time,
The rain stopped,
Then I became ready to resume my journey,
The great owner of the cottage said to me
With a smiling face,
"Dear friend!
I believe you are a genuine traveller,
You must reach your goal
Denying every obstacle of the harsh world."

He soars high with the wings of poesy,

He cries and cries in deep pain and resentment.

At night they took shelter in an inn,
